My firm offers a complete range of advice to privately owned businesses
and individuals including Business Plan preparation, Cash flow Budgets
and Projections, Computerised Accounting package sale and setup,
Taxation Planning and structure planning, electronic purchase of
shelf companies, taxation compliance of tax returns and BAS/IAS/GST
electronic lodgement.

I am not a registered Company Auditor or Liquidator and therefore
offer no services in these areas.
BACKGROUND
Gordon Appleby & Co was registered as a business name on 15
March 1993 and commenced practising in May 1993 with a number of
clients that followed me from BDO Nelson Parkhill. I had been a
partner at BDO for five years. Prior to BDO that I did all my training
at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (Now KPMG). Originally I operated
my practice from Yeronga but moved to Red Hill in January 1998.
THE
PRACTICE
The practice consists of myself as principal, Leona Bennett part
time qualified chartered accountant with 18 years experience including
Price Waterhouse Sydney and Ernst & Young Toronto, Rachel Mika
trainee accountant undergoing a diploma, Melissa Hills as secretary/receptionist
and other secretarial and book keeping support from my wife, Ruth
Appleby. From my experience as a partner at BDO, I had a team of
up to ten staff and I was used to handling small to large clients
with varying degrees of sophistication.
CLIENTS
My clients are varied from significant privately owned businesses
to individuals with investment income. Individual client fees range
from $150 to $30,000 per annum. Geographically my clients are generally
located in southeast Queensland but I have ex-patriot Australian
clients in Canada, Thailand, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and West Africa
as well as a New Zealand business operating in Australia.
